Purpose: To help students discern what career might be right for them and shape the leaders and influencers of tomorrow by integrating faith, innovation, and industry benchmarks, guiding them to discover God's leading in their lives.
Program: In the 2024-25 academic year, we are excited to launch our Schools of Distinction program, beginning with the innovative course Introduction to Career Pathways. This course is designed to help students uncover and nurture their unique talents and abilities, setting them on a path to future success and bridges academic learning with real-world application.
Additionally, the program offers an enriching blend of classroom learning and practical field experiences. Students will have the unique opportunity to collaborate closely with peers, educators, and a network of local businesses, companies, and universities. This collaboration is aimed at providing a holistic educational experience that bridges academic learning with real-world application.
The School of Business and Entrepreneurship will be crafted to give students an introduction to the fundamentals of business, with a focus on marketing and finance. Curriculum will be aligned with academic and business standards while also helping students develop an understanding of ethical business practices for a Christian in the world and workplace. Students will study a variety of business branches through guest speakers, field trips to area businesses, and inquiry-based projects that help to prepare them for university business programs or the marketplace.
The School of Communications will be crafted to give students an introduction to the fundamentals of strategic communication. Curriculum will be aligned with academic and media/literacy standards while also helping students develop an understanding of the power of messaging as a person of faith. Students will study various facets related to communication like social media, radio, and content creation. They will gain practical knowledge through guest speakers, field trips to area businesses, churches, and schools, and inquiry-based projects that help to prepare them for university programs or the workplace.
