NHS is a nationwide organization that recognizes outstanding high school students.

“The purpose of this organization shall be to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in the students of secondary schools.” 

Seniors, juniors and sophomores at HCS are eligible for consideration by the faculty committee into the society if they have a 3.5 GPA and demonstrate outstanding performance in scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
